Automatic document size recognition means operators can be flexible when feeding the source document into the sheet-fed scanner. It is not necessary to center the document exactly in the scanning area. By cropping and deskewing, the image output is straight, centered, and without black borders.

State-of-the-art lighting using bright white LEDs ensures a long service life and low cost of ownership, as virtually no consumables are required throughout the life of the product. State-of-the-art camera technology with a dust-protected, fully enclosed camera box housing CCD systems using a patented bonding procedure delivers optical scanner resolution of up to 1200 dpi.

The user operates the large format scanner with a standard internet browser or alternatively via the built-in touchscreen. A monitor connected directly to a large format scanner can be used to control the image or change scanning parameters without a client computer. Up to 30 different password protected jobs can be defined and stored using the touch screen. Jobs contain preconfigured settings such as scan parameters or directories on network drives.
