Easy-to-use remote scanning or mobile scanning with Scan2Pad ®

Integrated standalone scanning software makes the scanner a truly shared device. One click of the mouse is all it takes to print the scan, send it to any directory on the network or via email, upload it to an FTP server, or save it to a USB memory device. Simply step up using the touch screen, scan the image and store or send it.

Scan2Pad ® allows you to control the WideTEK ® 36 large format scanner using an iPad or Android tablet or even a smartphone running Android 4.0.3 or higher. Quickly adjust color depth, switch from black and white to grayscale or full color, and adjust brightness and contrast on your pad. Create PDF documents from your scans in one step. Scan2PAD is a unique mobile scanning application that does not require you to use an external cloud server. Just scan your documents and take them to your tablet. It’s fast, secure and best of all, free.

Precise Scanning of Historical and Sensitive Documents

WideTEK® 36 scans slowly thanks to special transport rollers that act as pressure points ensuring safe document transfer. This is critical for historical and sensitive documents.

Automatic document size recognition means operators can be flexible when feeding the source document into the scanner. It is not necessary to center the document exactly in the scanning area. By cropping and deskewing, the image output is straight, centered, and without black borders.

The unique background drum never touches the glass plate, preventing scratches and warping of documents. To achieve extra contrast in sepia and film-based documents, the standard black drum can be replaced with a white drum without the need for any tools.

The user operates the large format scanner with a standard internet browser or alternatively via the built-in touchscreen. A monitor connected directly to a large format scanner can be used to control the image or change scanning parameters without a client computer. Up to 30 different password protected jobs can be defined and stored using the touch screen. Jobs contain preconfigured settings such as scan parameters or directories on network drives.
