Bookeye 5 V1A is the only scanner with a motorized, height-adjustable glass roof that can be opened to any user-defined angle. The advantages of this unique design are obvious.
The Bookeye 5V1A book cradle is the most versatile in the industry, supporting fully opened books at 180° with or without a glass plate, as well as partially opened books via the V-shaped book cradle, in a single device. All other vendors must offer different models to cover all three scenarios.
Before a new book is scanned, the lift motor lowers the glass plate onto the book until the desired pressure is reached. Pressure is measured extremely precisely and can be up to 10Kg / 22lbs under operator control. Once the thickness of the book is programmed into the lifting mechanism, the scanner only needs to open and close the scanning glass to allow the book page to be turned. The borderless glass plate automatically opens to the user-defined angle after each scan. The opening and closing speed of the glass plate can also be adjusted by the user.
When the glass plate is fully open, the operator has the option of operating manually, requiring almost no force. The glass plate remains in every position and the pressure applied to the book is manually defined by the operator. When the stop button on the right side of the keyboard is activated, all motors stop immediately. Operation can then be continued after the interruption is resolved.
All engine operations can be performed through the ScanWizard as well as through the six buttons on the keyboard on the front of the scanner. When the stop button on the right side of the keyboard is activated, all motors stop immediately. Operation can then be continued after the interruption is resolved.
